Tottenham remains keen on adding Adama Traore to their squad this month.
Antonio Conte loves to play with wing-backs, but Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty have both failed to impress the Italian manager so far.
Because of that, he is now looking to add another player to his squad.
The Sun says Spurs have already had a £15m offer for him turned down. But they are expected to return with an improved offer of around £20million.
Traore is one of the hardest players to mark in the Premier League and when he is at full speed, he is almost unstoppable.
Adding him to our squad will give us one more attacking talent to unleash on our opponents.
His pace will also help him track back quickly and defend when Spurs is being attacked.
However, Traore doesn’t have very good attacking stats.
He has just one goal and zero assists from 23 competitive games this season, and that is not the stat of a player who should join Tottenham.
In 37 league games last season, he scored just twice and provided the same number of assists.
Conte might feel he can improve him, but his current stats mean Spurs’ fans should not expect too much from the former Barcelona starlet.
A lot will depend on whether Conte can covert Adama Traore into a wing-back because he is not exactly the most deadly of attacking wingers.
