According to a recent report in the Irish Independent, several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Brentford, and Brighton & Hove Albion, are keeping a close eye on Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher as they consider strengthening their squad ahead of the new season.
Kelleher has been serving as a backup to Alisson Becker at Anfield for a few years, and with limited opportunities to prove himself on the field this season, the Irish international may be looking for a move to secure more playing time.
Kelleher has made only three senior appearances across all competitions in the 2022-23 season, and each of these starts has been in cup competitions. Although Kelleher was given a chance to start Liverpool’s EFL Cup campaign, their journey came to a swift end with a loss to Manchester City in the fourth round.
In the Premier League and Champions League, Alisson remains Liverpool’s undisputed number-one goalkeeper, making it tough for Kelleher to get any playing time.
