Harry Kane set his stall out last summer and was determined to leave Tottenham for pastures new. His actions and subsequent form saw a lot of Spurs fans turn against him and rightfully so.
The England captain has, however, got his head down, worked hard and is now back in form, he is also showing that he still loves wearing a Tottenham shirt. But is that enough?
Of course, there is a significant number of fans that still idolise the 28-year-old and will have forgiven him almost immediately, there are also some that never held his summer antics against him and have maintained their support of him throughout.
However, speaking with fellow Spurs fans I found very few that were not very angry with him, in fact, almost every one of them just wished he had been sold.
Things are different now though, Kane is back to his imperious best, there is renewed optimism at the club and Kane showed against Leicester City what being a Tottenham player means to him, well at this moment in time.
Fans are fickle, myself included but at the same time we also have long memories and for some, no matter what Kane does, he will never be forgiven but I suspect they are a distinct minority.
Personally, he did annoy me and I was in the camp that we would all be better off if he was sold and it will always be at the back of my mind that he simply does not want to be here.
But I judge people on their actions and if I am to judge Kane on what he did last summer then it is only fair I judge him on his performances and attitude towards the club today.
In conclusion, yes I have forgiven Kane and am happy to move on, that said, there will be some that do not even think there is anything to forgive and some that will never forgive.
What camp are you in? Have you forgiven Harry Kane?
